Set up HomeStream Server and HomeStream TV

1. Download HomeStream Server

Choose the version that matches your computer from the download section on the homepage:

• Windows 64-bit
• macOS Intel
• macOS Apple silicon
• Linux 64-bit

2. Install the server

Open the installer on your computer and complete the setup. Once installed, launch HomeStream Server.

3. Add your media library

Inside HomeStream Server, add the folder or folders that contain your videos. Let the server scan your media so it is ready to appear in the Apple TV app.

4. Keep the server details ready

When HomeStream Server is running, note the following details shown by the server:

• Server IP address or host name
• Port number
• Pairing code

5. Open HomeStream TV on Apple TV

On your Apple TV, open the HomeStream TV app and choose Connect to HomeStream Server.

6. Enter the server details

In the Apple TV app, enter the server IP or host name, port number and pairing code from HomeStream Server. You can also set a device name for your Apple TV if you want.

7. Test the connection and pair

Use the test connection option first. When the connection succeeds, save and continue to complete pairing.

8. Browse and watch

After pairing, your libraries should appear in HomeStream TV. Browse your videos, choose something to watch and enjoy the big-screen experience.
